In case of aircraft accident airport is the first place were families come to get information and, if the accident happens inside the boundaries, the assistance of passengers victims of the crash at the airport is essential; airport has to manage its spaces to assist families and victims in a proper way, so that people will not suffer an extra burden of pain and suffering and receive dignified and respectful treatment, in compliance with ICAO Doc 9998 Policy on Family Care Assistance and ITS Guidance Material ICAO Doc  9973. To properly organize family assistance it is also necessary to prepare all airport staff to manage the new face of the airport and set up a correct handover process with the airline.
