The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has set specific minimum requirements regarding local crisis management for airline station managers and their team (LERAP). These requirements may vary by region and company, but in general, they include:

What will participants learn?
Our training program is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively respond to aviation emergencies as an airport manager. Participants will gain an understanding of the specific roles and responsibilities they will face during a crisis, including providing immediate assistance to victims and their families. Topics covered include preparing for an emergency at the station level, coordinating with local authorities and airline headquarters, and preparing for the arrival of the Airline Go Team.
Participants will also learn about their roles and responsibilities in managing the demands of families, friends, the media and the general public. The training includes station-level preparation, station staff roles and responsibilities, external agency relations, information management, meeting the needs of survivors and victims, media relations, local emergency operations center awareness, and resumption of operations.
Upon completion of this training, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively respond to aviation emergencies, and fulfill their critical role as airport managers.
